Pensavamo di potervi offrire questa comunicazione proprio nel giorno della vostra protettrice, la Madonna del Carmine, ma per diversi fattori non ci è stato possibile.
Oggi nella festa di san Giacomo Apostolo, un martire nella fede e nell’amore a Gesù Cristo, onoriamo questo impegno.
Il giorno 16 luglio il Consiglio generale, durante il suo incontro mensile, ha proceduto allo spoglio delle schede da voi da tempo inviate circa la consultazione in vista della creazione della Delegazione e della nomina del primo consiglio di Delegazione.
Rispettando le vostre preferenze sono usciti eletti:
Don Luigi De Giambattista, come Delegato
Don Viray Ocampo Charlton, come vicario
Don Xavier Sahaya Rajesh Selvaraj, come consigliere
Don Thiraviam David Anburaj, come economo fuori consiglio
A tutti l’augurio che prendiamo dalla liturgia del santo apostolo Giacomo: “…chi vuole diventare grande tra di voi, sarà vostro servitore e chi vuole essere il primo tra voi, sarà vostro schiavo. Come il Figlio dell’uomo, che non è venuto per farsi servire, ma per servire e dare la propria vita in riscatto per molti”.
Non padroni dei confratelli, delle case, delle opere, dei destinatari della nostra missione, ma servitori di tutti. Non sarà sempre facile, ma è questa la strada giusta che porta alla perfezione della carità, alla santità.
Ve la auguriamo piena e ricca per tutto il tempo del vostro mandato.

We thought of sending this communication exactly on the day of your Patroness, Our Lady of Mount Carmel; but due to various reasons that has not been possible.
Today on the Feast of St. James the Apostle, martyr of the faith and of the love for Jesus Christ, we fulfil this commitment. On July 16, the General Council, during its monthly meeting, has carried out the opening of the envelops and the counting of the ballots sent some time ago by you regarding the Consultation in view of the creation of the Delegation and the appointment of the first Delegation Council.
Reflecting your choices, the following are the elected:
Fr. Luigi De Giambattista, Delegate
Fr. Charlton Viray, Vicar
Fr. Xavier Sahaya Rajesh Selvaraj, Councillor
Fr. Thiraviam David Anburaj, Administrator, outside the Council.
To all of these confreres, the wishes that we borrow from today’s liturgical celebration of St. James, the Apostle: “Whoever wants to be great among you will be your servant and whoever wishes to be the first will become your slave. Like the Son of Man who has not come to be served, but to serve and lay down his life as ransom for many.” Not lording over confreres, houses, works, receivers of our mission, but serving them all. It will not always be easy, but this is the right road leading to perfection of charity, to holiness.
We wish you to aim at such goal faithfully and fully.
