He, as a representative of the President of the Republic of Italy, assigned the title of “Cavaliere” to Fr. Luigi De Giambattista on June 22 in the house of Servants of Charity, Tandang Sora, Quezon City. Cavaliere is an honorable higher order in the Italian State, an important recognition given by the Italian Government to their citizens for their work and service. This time it was given to Fr. Luigi who has served as a priest of Servants of Charity in the Philippines for many years.
Ambassador Marco Clemente made a friendly visit to our Community of Servants, Tandang Sora on June 22. In a meeting with the special children, while giving this recognition to Fr. Luigi he said, “ I have always been strict in my career, and I have always been selective. This time we proposed the name of Fr. Luigi. It is a big sign of recognition for what he has done in this land. We are giving an important recognition for his and his brothers' activity in the Philippines.”
